This is more of an impressionistic wet fly that it is a nymph. This simple fly is extremely productive and is
among my first choice of patterns no matter what I am fishing for. The body may be tied in a more standard
manner however I teach the technique of twisting the body material around the thread to form a durable and
sometimes more segmented body (see Jake's Gimp").
